is a mainly agricultural county famous for producing beef, cider and
hops. However the farming is very diversified. Herefordshire is renowned
for it's natural beauty, the River Wye, Black and White villages,
ancient buildings and churches. Places of local interest are Dore
Abbey and Kilpeck church, a fine example of a small Norman church.
One of the major attractions is the cathedral. The famous Mappa
Mundi and Chained Library are housed here. The swimming pool, leisure
centre and tenpin bowling are attractive diversions for children.
